Job Description:

Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
Post journal entries
Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
Prepare trial balance of books
Reconcile accounts

Requirements:

Education: Completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping, business, or a related field OR completion of two years (first level) of a recognized professional accounting program (e.g., Chartered Accounting, Certified General Accounting) are required.

Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a bookkeeper, financial, or accounting clerk, combined with courses in accounting or bookkeeping, are required. In the event that the candidate does not have 2 years of experience as a bookkeeper, financial, or accounting clerk, courses in accounting or bookkeeping are required.

Salary: $37.00 hourly, 35 Hours per week.

Important Information: Flexibility in schedule is required. Work model will be hybrid with 3 – 4 days per week in office and 1 – 2 days remote. The employee will work from Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Overtime and work on weekends may be required depending on the business needs.
