What you will be doing:

Lead and oversee all Banquets operations, ensuring seamless execution of meetings, conferences, weddings, and social events
Collaborate closely with Sales, Conference Services, Culinary, and other departments to ensure alignment and exceptional event delivery
Drive a culture of luxury service excellence, ensuring every event reflects the highest standards and attention to detail
Develop, mentor, and inspire the Banquets leadership and colleague team, fostering engagement, accountability, and growth
Oversee staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to align with business levels and operational needs
Manage departmental financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and cost control
Identify opportunities to enhance revenue through upselling, service innovation, and operational efficiencies
Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring personalized service and proactive communication throughout the event lifecycle
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
Handle guest concerns and feedback with professionalism, ensuring prompt resolution and service recovery
Champion continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence
Other duties assigned

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

Previous leadership experience in Banquets or Events within a luxury hotel or high-volume environment
Proven ability to lead large teams and manage complex operations
Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management
Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a guest-centric mindset
Ability to perform in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail
Experience with Opera, Delphi, or similar systems is an asset
Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Serving It Right certification required
Experience in a luxury hotel or Forbes-rated environment considered an asset

You will be part of a collaborative leadership team, working closely with Food & Beverage, Culinary, Sales, and Conference Services. This role thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment where teamwork and precision are key to delivering memorable events.
