Prepare, measure and mark surfaces to be coveredMix, apply and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives using hand trowelPrepare rough plans and sketchesSet tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to baseAlign and straighten tilesPrepare tenders and quotationsCut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting toolsInstruct apprenticesPack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess groutRemove and replace cracked or damaged tilesSupervise other workersLay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural and floor designsCut, surface, polish and install marble and graniteEstimate costs and materialsMix, lay and polish terra surfacesInstall tile strips
