Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Copier Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing multifunction copiers, printers, and related office equipment. This role requires strong technical knowledge, troubleshooting ability, and excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software issues in copiers, printers, and multifunction devices
Perform preventive maintenance, including cleaning, calibration, and part replacement (rollers, chargers, fusers, etc.)
Install and configure new equipment, including network integration and print workflow setup
Respond to service calls promptly and provide on‐site support to clients across Ontario
Maintain accurate service records, parts usage, and customer communication logs
Train end‐users on proper equipment operation and basic troubleshooting
Collaborate with the service team to ensure timely resolution of escalated issues
Stay current with manufacturer updates, firmware, and service bulletins

Qualifications

College diploma or technical certification in electronics, IT, or related field
2+ years of experience servicing copiers, printers, or office equipment (Kyocera, Canon, Ricoh, Xerox preferred)
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read service manuals and schematics
Knowledge of print workflows (AFP, IPDS, PCL, PostScript) and network connectivity (TCP/IP, Windows print drivers)
Valid Ontario driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls daily
