Job Description

The Canalta Family of Companies is growing, and we're looking for an Accounting Associate to join our Home Office team in Drumheller, Alberta. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to launch or grow their accounting career in a supportive, fast-paced environment.

Canalta is a family-owned, vertically integrated Development and Operations Company based out of Drumheller, AB. Employing over 2500 employees the primary focus of Canalta's business model is the development and operation of hotels and restaurants throughout Western Canada.

What You'll Do

Work closely with all levels of the business and gain exposure to multiple industries within the Canalta Family.
Learn the ins and outs of all financial departments, with hands-on experience across different functions.
Assist with the preparation of month-end and year-end working papers, reconciliations, and reporting.
Support the accounting team with day-to-day operations and special projects.
Contribute to continuous improvement in processes and systems.

What We're Looking For

Accounting designation (or working toward one), or equivalent education/experience.
Strong initiative, eagerness to learn, and the ability to take ownership of tasks.
A collaborative team player who is comfortable working with all levels of the business.
Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in problem-solving.
A strong communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

This is an on-site, full-time position based out of our Drumheller Home Office.
