POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Development Services & Climate Leadership, the Development Services Technician provides front-line customer service and technical administrative support for building, planning, business licensing, and development-related services. The position receives, reviews, and processes development applications; conducts preliminary reviews for completeness and compliance with municipal bylaws, policies, and procedures; provides information to the public, applicants, and consultants; coordinates application processing; and maintains departmental records in accordance with municipal policies and legislative requirements.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have completed Grade 12 and preferably supplemented by related post-secondary coursesin Building/Construction/Planning, meeting a minimum of nine (9) credits.
Must have some related experience.

Rate of Pay: $40.14/hour in accordance with the CUPE Collective Agreement (PG7 2026 rate)
Hours/Days of Work: Casual (varied)
