Job Description
Commissionaires BC is looking for a bilingual security guard to work at the front desk at a high profile RCMP building in Surrey.
Please note: This position requires the applicant to receive a RCMP level 3 clearance, which can take anywhere up to and beyond 3 months to be processed. Only applicants who meet the mandatory requirements will be considered, due to the nature of the clearance process.
Position: Monday to Friday 6.30am – 2.30pm
Wage: $22.45/hr
Must have requirements:
- Have lived in Canada for at least the past 5 years and are either a Canadian citizen or permanent resident in order to obtain required clearances
- A valid BC Security Licence
- Basic First Aid certificate
- Be fluent in both French and English
- Be able to provide a high level of customer service to staff and visitors
- Be confident with access control and computer administrative duties
- Providing excellent customer service to staff and visitors as they enter the building
- Access control and data input
- Reception duties including answering phone calls and directing as needed
- Performing interior & exterior patrols
- CCTV monitoring
- Writing clear and concise daily logs and reports of all incidents
- Enforcing and maintaining site security procedures
- Proactively responding to and resolving emergency situations and conflicts
- Provide first aid in a prompt, accessible, and appropriate manner
- Effectively communicating problems or concerns to the Site Supervisor
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of site duties and safety standards
