HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE (Overview & Key Responsibilities):

The Lead Electro Mechanic is responsible for the delegation of workload to the team, the repair, adjustment, and installation of Cryopak’s special projects equipment. They can be called upon to collaborate on other levels as well, depending on production needs. The Team lead Electro Mechanic also ensures that the production machinery and equipment are working well and efficiently.

• Ensure that all factory equipment and machinery is functioning well, perform the necessary adjustments to production equipment in accordance with established norms.

• Operate, test, maintain, or calibrate unmanned, automated, servo-mechanical, or electromechanical equipment.

• Test performance of electrical, electronic, mechanical, or integrated systems or equipment.

• Set up and operate extruder machines according to production specifications.

• Install electrical or electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools.

• Operate metalworking machines to fabricate housings, jigs, fittings, or fixtures.

• Fabricate products or components using machine tools.

• Change the parts, Install equipment, repair equipment in accordance with established norms.

• Perform preventative maintenance and clean the equipment as specified in the established schedule.

• Analyze problems with the equipment’s functioning and make recommendations to improve productivity and equipment lifespan.

• Assure all work assigned is performed in accordance with specifications, instructions, requirements, and are performed in accordance with established safety policies and quality assurance checks per Company policies and requirements.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications)

• Ability to demonstrate an understanding of basic accounting principles

• Professional diploma in Electro Mechanics

• 5 years of experience in a similar position including operating and maintaining extruder machines.

• Supervision experience

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with the ability to bend, reach, kneel, and stand for extended period of time.

• Ability to drive forklift is preferred, basic computer skills an asset.

• Can get by in English (reading and comprehension of the instructions manual)

• Familiarity with PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) systems is a plus.
