Overview

The Embassy of the State of Kuwait is seeking a talented and dedicated Cook/Chef. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Middle Eastern and Arab Gulf cuisine, with the ability to prepare a variety of international dishes, including Asian and Italian cuisine.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of high-quality meals for daily dining, events and special occasions.
Prepare authentic Arab gulf and Middle Eastern dishes
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment, adhering to food safety standards.
Adapt recipes to accommodate dietary restrictions and health considerations.
Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Education

Culinary degree or equivalent training in a relevant field preferred.

Experience

Minimum 10 years of professional culinary experience.
Proven experience as a Cook/Chef in a private household or high-end restaurant setting.
Strong knowledge of Middle Eastern and Arab Gulf cuisine; knowledge of other international cuisines is an asset

Language

Must be fluent in English
Arabic is an asset

Requirements

Food safety certification is preferred.
Additional culinary certifications are an asset.
Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and ability to work in a private residential environment
