Job Description

We are seeking a Valve Technician to disassemble, assemble, fit, and reassemble industrial valves in a fast-paced production environment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to follow work instructions and procedures. Overtime and weekend work are required.

Duties and Responsibilities

Read and interpret shop work instructions and shop procedures.
Disassemble/ Assemble valves and route to other production areas as required work instructions.
Identify components necessary for reassembly and submit material requests to inventory control.
Fit and reassemble valves after completion of other production and quality control processes.
Cross trained in other areas as needed.
Significant overtime and weekend work required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to stand, crouch, bend for 8 hour shifts
Able to work in a high production environment
Must be able lift up to 40 lbs. on occasion
Basic computer skills
Problem solving skills
Ability to work as a team
Strong attention to detail
Crane and Rigging Experience an asset
Forklift (sit down and reach) experience
Excellent written and verbal communication

Education and Qualifications

High school or GED required, as well as a strong mechanical aptitude.
Must be able to read, write and speak English.
2+ years of valve or related mechanical experience.
