Read blueprints to determine work requirements Troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators and other electro-mechanical equipmentUse machining tools to fabricate or recondition partsReplace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators and other componentsWeld or braze componentsPerform some machining to recondition or modify shafts, commutators or other partsPerform preventive maintenanceMaintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
