Location: Southwood Care Centre

Positions Available: Casual position with open availability required

Salary: Salary ranges from $18.80 to $24.32 per hour

Role Responsibilities:

Assist in scheduling, preparing and implementing therapeutic programs which support Intercare’s philosophy of meeting the holistic needs of customers as directed
Maintain appropriate records of planned programs and attendance
Documents care, programs and interactions as required on the resident’s health care record
Participate in outings and other special events
Demonstrate respect to all customers by working with them in a calm, courteous manner

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:

A Recreation Therapy Aide Diploma is preferred; a Recreation Therapy Aide certificate and/or a minimum of two years as recreation therapy assistant or related field experience in a continuing care setting will be considered
Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language
Mentally and physically able to perform duties as outlined
Preference will be given to those candidates who have a therapy aide certificate from a recognized program
Driver's License Class 4 is an asset
