Senior Associate – Assurance

Richmond Hill, ON | 4 Days In Office | 1 Day Remote

Full-Time | Permanent | $75,000 – $100,000

Our client, a well-established and growing public accounting firm in the Richmond Hill area, is seeking a Senior Associate to join their Assurance team.

The firm has experienced steady expansion over the past several years and serves a diverse client base including privately held companies, real estate groups, professionals, and not-for-profit organizations. The team environment is collaborative, technically strong, and growth-oriented.

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for a CPA-designated professional with 2–4 years of public accounting experience who enjoys audit and review work while maintaining exposure to tax compliance.

You will manage files from planning through completion, work directly with Managers and Partners, and provide guidance to junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute audit and review engagements from planning to completion

• Prepare and review working paper files and financial statements in CaseWare

• Prepare corporate and personal tax returns (T2, T1, T3, T5013 as applicable)

• Perform risk assessments and apply appropriate engagement procedures

• Identify and resolve accounting and tax issues within client files

• Support and mentor junior team members

• Manage multiple client engagements and meet deadlines

• Communicate directly with clients to obtain documentation and resolve queries

Qualifications

• CPA designation required

• 2–4 years of public accounting experience

• Strong experience with audit and review engagements

• Exposure to corporate and personal tax compliance

• Proficiency with CaseWare

• Working knowledge of ASPE and/or IFRS

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
