Future Pipeline Posting**

SALARY: The hourly rate for this role is $40.39 - $41.74 per hour, working 36 hours per week

This is a unionized position with UFCW Local 361.

VACANCY TYPE: This posting reflects an ongoing opportunity for future openings

SHIFT:

Rotating shift: 12 hour shifts, 3 days a week, with a weekly rotation of day shift and night shift.
Shifts rotate between Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday and Thursday/Friday/Saturday.
Premium time built into regular shift schedule – on weeks Saturday is part of your 3 days on, the Saturday shift is paid at time-and-a-half for 8h and double time for 4h of the scheduled 12h shift. Regular schedule would include two Thursday/Friday/Saturday rotations per month.
Night shift premium, $1.15 extra per hour. Regular schedule has two night shift rotations per month.
Option for additional overtime on holidays and weekends.

Overtime Eligibility: This position is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable labour laws and pursuant with collective agreement. Overtime is paid at the legally required rate and may vary based on hours worked beyond the standard schedule

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on industrial equipment in a production environment.
Work as part of a team to troubleshoot and repair equipment, including equipment common to the trade such as gearboxes or pumps, and specific beer packaging and brewing equipment. Specific equipment includes: bottle and can filler, bottle labeler, palletizers and depalletizers, bottle and can packers, beer centrifuge.
Follow plant safety, housekeeping, and food-production quality standards.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Valid Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) or Machinist
Willing and able to work shift work (days and nights, optional overtime, and optional holidays)
Proven mechanical and troubleshooting skills; prefer 3 or more years experience in the industrial mechanic/millwright or machinist trade. Preference will be given to applicants who have experience in a production facility.
Welding and/or machining experience is an asset 
Outstanding work ethic with exceptional discipline, attendance, and safety record
Takes initiative, and ability to work independently with limited supervision
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Capability to learn computer-based maintenance software (e.g. for work order scheduling)
