A family residing in Coquitlam, BC V3K 0A5 is seeking a Child Caregiver to work in a private home.

Position: Child Caregiver - Private Home Vacancy: 1 Wage: CAD$ 20.00/hour Types: Full-time, Permanent Working hours: 30 40 hours/week Benefit: 4% of vacation pay

Job Duties: • Supervise and care for children in employer's home; • Assist children with daily personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, and feeding; • Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals and snacks for children; • May perform other housekeeping duties; • Oversee children’s daily routines, including meals, rest periods, and activities as directed by the parents; • Maintain a safe, healthy, and clean environment in the home; • Instruct children in personal hygiene and healthy habits; • Support the emotional well-being of children and encourage positive social development; • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents; • Organize and lead age-appropriate educational and recreational activities such as games, crafts, reading, and outings; • Accompany children to and from school, appointments, and activities as required; • Keep daily records of children’s activities, behavior, and health-related information.

Job Requirements: • Completion of secondary school is required; • Minimum 6 months of child care experience or completion of a training program in child care or a related field is required; • Criminal record clearance is required.
