Nelson GM is seeking an organized, knowledgeable, and customer-focused *Parts Consultant* to join our team. The ideal candidate has a passion for vehicles, strong product knowledge, and takes pride in providing exceptional service to both customers and technicians.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Greet and assist customers and technicians in person and by phone with professionalism and courtesy
* Identify needs, recommend parts and accessories, and provide accurate pricing and availability
* Prepare detailed quotes and invoices;
process orders, returns, and warranties per dealership and manufacturer guidelines
* Maintain organized stock areas;
receive and record shipments accurately
* Support service operations by ensuring technicians have the correct parts on time
* Coordinate parts requests between departments and track backorders
* Monitor inventory, participate in stock counts, and assist with pricing and displays
* Maintain accurate records in the DMS and follow GM parts policies and procedures
* Stay current on product updates, warranties, and promotions
* Support a collaborative, customer-focused team environment
*Qualifications:*
* Experience in an automotive parts department or similar role are an asset
* Strong knowledge of vehicle components and systems preferred
* Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
* High attention to detail and organizational ability
* Proficient with computers and dealership software
* Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
* Valid driver’s license and clean abstract required
*Preferred Skills:*
* Experience with GM systems
* Mechanical aptitude and understanding of repair terminology
* Team-oriented with strong time-management and relationship-building skills
* Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
