Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and jointsApply, level and smooth coats of plasterClean and prepare surfacesCure freshly plastered surfacesCut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior cornersFill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knifeFinish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat, if requiredMeasure, cut, fit and install drywall sheetsMix plaster ingredients to desired consistencyPosition and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joistsSmooth out excess compound and allow coat to dryTape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compoundAttach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furringCut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts and electrical outletsInstall corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be appliedInstall metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power toolsInstall vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulationUtilize laser alignment systemWork at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
