Read blueprints to determine dimensions of structure or system and material requirementsParticipate in field surveys, inspections or technical investigationsPrepare construction specifications, costs and material estimatesSupervise or conduct field surveys, inspections, technical investigations and testing of construction materialsParticipate in field checks and verificationMaintain inspection records and complete inspection reportsEstablish and monitor construction work schedulesPrepare documents showing both the structural needs and the materials required for construction
