Tasks

Consult with other health care professionals to evaluate treatment plans Evaluate the effectiveness of counselling and the patient's outcomesExamine the behaviourInterview clients, prepare case histories and assess problemsInterview patients Record observationsUse standard psychological tests for assessmentWrite progress reports Prepare a treatment plan for each patientDevelop and implement counselling and intervention programs to assist clients in determining goals and means of attaining themCounsel clients, provide therapy and mediation services, and facilitate group sessionsMaintain accurate recordsParticipate in fundraising activitiesPrepare assessment, progress, follow-up and court reportsHelp clients manage physical illness and disordersLiaise with community agencies or partners, and identify additional or alternative services and provide referrals
