Salary: $70,000-$85,000/year

We are currently looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented Apparel Product Developer to join our team in Vancouver, BC.

As the Apparel Product Developer, you are taking ownership of fit, quality, and construction for mens and womens denim styles. You anticipate challenges, identify root causes, and implement solutions. Your ability to lead, innovate, and drive continuous improvement ensures that every style reflects Purples commitment to quality and excellence.

Responsibilitiesinclude,butarenotlimitedto:

Producedetailedandaccurategarmenttechpacks,includingBOM,specifications,anddesigndetails.
Specandevaluatefitsamplestodeterminecomplianceofmeasurements,workmanship,construction,washdirection,andfit.
Maintainconstructionandfitconsistencyaccordingtobrandguidelines.
Takepartinfittings,preparation,measuringandphotographingofprototypes,SMS,andPPSonandoffmodels.Takingdetailednotesoftherequiredfitandconstructioncorrectionsandconveyingcorrectionstofactories.
Gradingandreviewinggradedspecs,andconveyingcommentsandcorrectionstovendors.
Analyzeandcommunicatetheoutcomeoffittingsandconstruction,andwashcommentswiththeproductdevelopmentteamandvendors.
LiaisewithinternationaldevelopmentteamsinChina,Japan,Europeandbeyondtosolveproblemsthroughoutthesamplingandproductionphases.
Hasaproactiveapproachtoadvancingtechnicalandproductdevelopmentknowledgethroughmentorshipandtrainingfromotherproductdevelopmentteammembers.
ResponsibleforfitsampleandPPSmanagementandorganization.
Assistwithfabricandgarmentcaretestingasrequired.
Assistwithcareandcontentlabelupkeepanddevelopment.
FollowthegarmentfromSMSstatethroughproduction.
Takeonspecialprojectsasneeded.

Maintainandorganizetrimlibraries

AbilitytonavigateOneDrive,MicrosoftOffice,andTeamswouldbeanasset.

Keeninterestinfashion,denim,streetwear,andluxurybrands.

Skills/Qualifications:

Bachelorsdegreeinarelateddisciplineorequivalentprofessionalexperience.Traininginproductdevelopment,technicaldesign,orpatternmakingispreferred.
3+ years of experience in apparel technical development or product development.
Hands-onexperiencewithgarmentmeasurementsandPOM.
ProficiencyinusingAdobeIllustratorandAdobePhotoshop.
ProficiencyinusingMicrosoftExcel.
Excellentcommunicationskills.
Knowledgeorexperienceinfittings.
Abilitytoworkinmetricandimperial,includingfractions,wouldbeanasset.
