Job Description

The Rack is full-service supplier of fertilizer, chemical, custom application, agronomy services, research and bulk fuel to producers in west central Saskatchewan. The Rack is a vibrant, rapidly expanding company with new ventures constantly underway.

Position Responsibilities:

Working in coordination with a variety of Rack Team Members, the Operations Summer Students are responsible to assist the location team in daily operations in a variety of capacities including, but not limited to:

Customer management
Yard site maintenance and operations
Chem shed maintenance and operations
Inventory control
Product delivery
Crop scouting, tissue sampling and soil sampling
Adhere to safety protocols and document where possible
Ability to read work orders
Overtime and irregular hours expected during busy times
Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Good organizational and time management skills
Well developed customer service and communication skills - written and verbal
Farming background and/or agricultural knowledge is an asset
1+ year of study towards diploma/bachelor degree, preferably in agriculture is an asset
Class 5 driver's license and safe driving record
Can lift and carry 50 lbs
Willingness and ability to operate equipment required to operation and maintain the yard/chemical shed
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
Must live in or close to the town of Luseland SK
