Tasks

Consult with other health care professionals to evaluate treatment plans Interview patients Record observationsReview reports from health care professionals to determine patients' current and potential functioning levelsWrite progress reports Perform administrative tasksPrepare a treatment plan for each patientProvide education to clients regarding health promotion and injury prevention, management and treatmentImplement treatment plansAnalyze the patient during the treatmentsInitiate, design and implement specialized therapy programsDesign specialized therapy programs to maintain, rehabilitate or enhance movement, musculoskeletal functioning and performance in sports, work and recreation

Support for newcomers and refugees

Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster (for example: Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.) Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognitionOffers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees Does not require Canadian work experience

Support for Indigenous people

Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers

Supports for visible minorities
