The Saskatchewan Construction Safety Association (SCSA) is non-profit organization funded by the construction industry to provide cost-effective, quality safety training, programs and advice through its Business Services. This role is best suited for someone with hands-on safety experience or formal OHS training who is professional, tech-comfortable, and confident working in both field and office environments. What You'll Do

As an Advisor, you will work directly with member companies and identified customers to promote safety education and support the adoption of SCSA programs and services. You will build effective relationships, conduct health and safety management system audits, and deliver professional, high-quality safety education, service, and guidance, tailored to member needs.

Your work will include:

Build strong relationships with member companies by engaging leaders and key contacts to understand their operations, safety culture, and challenges.
Deliver safety education and on-site support, including inspections, hazard assessments, toolbox talks, demonstrations, presentations, and legislative education.
Promote and support SCSA programs, services, and training, helping members access the right tools and resources for their needs.
Prepare for and conduct COR®/SECOR® audits using SCSA’s National Standard audit tools and established methodologies.
Support the development of health and safety management systems, including documentation review, manual development, audit preparation, and guidance through registration and certification processes.
Working collaboratively with colleagues, contributing to a respectful, supportive, and professional team environment.
Modelling professionalism, accountability, and respect in all interactions — internally and externally.

What You Bring

You have hands-on experience working on construction sites and are comfortable navigating active work environments. This is a critical component of the role.
You believe in the value of health and safety and are motivated to support safer work — formal safety designations are an asset but not required at entry.
You are confident using computers, tablets, mobile devices, and digital systems for documentation, communication, and learning.
You build rapport easily, communicate respectfully, and can influence others through collaboration and credibility rather than authority.
You understand that workplace culture is shaped by everyday actions and that everyone plays a role in creating a respectful, inclusive, and safe environment.
- A suitable combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.

Working Conditions

Navigation of construction sites (outdoors and indoors) including movement over uneven terrain, use of ladders, scaffolds, and stairs, standing, stooping and crawling as needed.
Sedentary office work, performance of repetitive motions and use of general office equipment.
Use of hand held power tools and safety demo equipment including regular lifting and transport; some items may require assisted lifts due to weight or bulk.
Some flexibility is necessary and expected regarding the hours of work.
Regular travel including overnight travel within the province.

Conditions of Employment

Proof of a valid driver’s license and provision of a criminal record check is required upon offer of employment.

Total Compensation Details:

Starting annual salary will be between the minimum and mid-point of the range ($64,145 - $80,180). Long term earning potential is currently $96,220.
Health Benefits start from your first day and the monthly insurance premium is paid by SCSA (single or family coverage available).
3 weeks paid vacation each year
Paid sick leave (up to 3 weeks), each year
Upon successful completion of your 6 month probation you will receive a 2% salary increase
