About the Role

We’re looking for a Marketing & Social Media Assistantto join our founding team. This is a volunteer position ideal for someone eager to gain experience in creative marketing and digital storytelling within an emerging brand. You’ll help grow Sesayè’s online presence, engage our community, and support content execution across our social and editorial platforms.

What You’ll Do

Develop and execute the creative direction for Sesayè across all visual and editorial platforms.
Oversee branding, photography, design, and overall storytelling to ensure consistency and innovation.
Collaborate with our Editor-in-Chief to conceptualize and produce high-quality content, including print and digital materials.
Assist with creative campaigns for product launches, social media, and marketing initiatives.
Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging aesthetics, and cultural moments to keep Sesayé at the forefront of fashion and design.
Manage creative budgets, timelines, and external partnerships (e.g., photographers, designers, illustrators).
Assist in developing our social media strategy and calendar.
Research trends, campaigns, and audience engagement.
Track performance metrics and propose content optimizations.

Who You Are

A creative visionary with a strong background in fashion, design, or editorial storytelling.
Experienced in branding, art direction, and content creation, with a portfolio that reflects a refined and innovative aesthetic.
Adept at leading a creative team and working cross-functionally with marketing and editorial teams.
A strategic thinker who understands brand positioning and audience engagement.
Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite, photography direction, and digital content strategy.
Passionate about fashion, lifestyle, and cultural narratives, with an eye for emerging trends.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with evolving priorities.

Your Skills

Strong visual storytelling and brand-building capabilities
Expertise in creative software and digital content strategy
Ability to lead and inspire a team while managing multiple projects
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Knowledge of fashion trends and industry
Strong attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and remotely
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Fashion, Journalism, Communication, or a related field
