Load, unload and transport construction materialsOperate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position or place equipment and materialsPerform pre-operational inspectionRead blueprints to determine work requirements Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphaltLevel earth to fine grade specificationsPave and rake asphaltClean and pile salvaged materialsRemove rubble and other debris at construction sitesDirect traffic at or near construction sitesSchedule personnel, tools and equipmentDetermine piping system requirements and pipe sizingMeasure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and sizeLocate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floorsCut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittingsJoin pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipmentTest pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
