Job Description

Our client partner covers the road and paving sector and is a leader in the Toronto Area. They are currently hiring for an Intermediate Health & Safety Coordinator/officer for their operations with projects throughout the Toronto region. Projects include working around civil and MTO works.

Duties

Day-to-day coordination, both on-site and office based in a fast-paced business unit
Maintain Safety Management System (SMS) databases, administer sub-contractor programs, support job sites with project safety plans.
Train and coach junior coordinators in regards to correct safety procedures and protocols
Recording and maintenance of the incident statistical database.
Coordinate Joint Health and Safety Committee functions at office location and actively participate on the Committee.
Coordinate Health and Safety Training as required.
Produce regular reports and documentation as required.
Liaise closely with clients, inspectors and peers in regards to ongoing safety for projects

EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

Post secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety (persuing or completed) or sufficient credentials, NCSO or CRSP etc
Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Strong ability to multitask

$85,000 - $100,000 + vehicle
