Family Lawyer – 5+ Years (Remote, Ontario)

Location: Toronto, Ontario (Remote – must reside in Ontario)

About the Role

Our client, a reputable Toronto-based law firm, is seeking an experienced Family Lawyer with a minimum of five years of practice experience in Ontario. This remote position offers the flexibility of working from home while collaborating with a supportive and established legal team.

The successful candidate will bring strong advocacy skills, sound legal judgment, and the ability to manage family law files independently from start to finish.

Responsibilities

Manage a range of family law matters, including separation, divorce, custody, access, support, and property division

Draft and review pleadings, affidavits, financial statements, and other legal documents

Represent clients in court proceedings, mediation, and settlement negotiations

Conduct legal research and provide well-reasoned advice to clients

Maintain excellent client relationships and communication

Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure efficient case management

What We’re Looking For

5+ years of experience practicing family law in Ontario

Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario (LSO)

Demonstrated ability to manage files independently

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Must be based and licensed in Ontario
