Job Description

Tłı̨chǫ Community Builders (TCB), a 100% owned subsidiary of the Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation (TIC), is seeking a qualified Oil Heat Systems Technician (Oil Burner Mechanic) for a term position located in Behchokǫ̀, NT.

Position: Oil Heat Systems Technician (Oil Burner Mechanic)

Term: Monday to Friday, until March 2026

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
Perform scheduled maintenance and service work
Lay out oil burner heating system components and assemble using proper tools
Conduct final inspections to ensure all equipment is operating safely
Complete required daily paperwork for each service call
Perform other duties as required to maintain and enhance departmental productivity.

Requirements

Licensed Oil Heat Systems Technician (Oil Burner Mechanic)
5+ years of experience considered an asset
Strong communication and effective listening skills
Ability to work independently and productively
Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
Plumbing experience preferred
Ability to speak/understand the Tłı̨chǫ language considered an asset

This is a term position working Monday to Friday until March 2026. Tłı̨chǫ Community Builders offers a competitive compensation rate.
