Job Description

The Material Handler/Laborer will be responsible for processing/handling wastes. Operating equipment related to the position including forklift, pallet jack, etc.

Main Responsibilities:

Follow the operations manual for assigned position;
Implement Regulation 347 and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) policies as presented;
Completes all paperwork including task sheets and reports as may be required;
Complete dispatched task in an efficient and timely manner;
Communicated to competent persons and abnormalities or faulty situations in regards to the process, product, machine, equipment, workplace or other;
Wear safety personal protective equipment as required for this position, work safely and observes all safety procedures;
Able to work various hours;
Must be able to wear a respirator.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Grade 12 diploma;
Must be able to read, write and count;
Experience on paper work such as time sheets and preparation of reports;
Class G licence required;
AZ/DZ licence an Asset;
Ability to pass a criminal record check;
Ability to work independently and efficiently;
Organized and must be able to work with established procedures, guidelines and under immediate supervision;
Excellent customer service skills and positive attitude;
Team work orientedè
Ability to work at heights, able to lift 50 lbs. ;
Excellent physical condition.

Work Environment:

Permanent position offered on a full-time basis, with schedules from Monday to Friday, day time.
