Fit and assemble prefabricated metal parts to build heavy industrial machineryRead blueprints to determine work requirements Move and align subassemblies and componentsInstall major components such as gears, pumps, motors or hydraulic assembliesInspect furniture and fixture subassemblies and finished products for conformance to quality standardsUse machining tools to fabricate or recondition partsRepair or replace defective pressure vessel parts, such as safety valves or regulatorsDisassemble defective units and repair or replace suspect parts
