Millwright / Maintenance Technician - permanent $44/hr to start
SHIFTS: 12 hour continental rotation (6:00 to 6:15 )
2 weeks of days / 2 weeks of nights
- 15 minute overlap between shifts
LOCATION: Toronto, Ontario
Qualifications:
Industrial Millwright license ; may consider someone with an Electrician license IF they can prove solid mechanical experience
Valid operating engineering certificate an asset
3 years+ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food industry
Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs
Must display excellent sanitary habits
Strong preventative maintenance and troubleshooting ability
Solid knowledge of high speed filling and packaging lines, PLCs
Familiar with continuous improvement processes and methodologies an asset
Strong working knowledge of basic welding, machining and plumbing
Good communication and interpersonal skills written and verbal
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Computer literate - MS Office, CMMS
Willing and able to work assigned shift
Requirements:
Responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting of plant equipment including UHT processors, processing equipment, bag and carton fillers, high speed packaging equipment and ancillary equipment
Responsible to maintain all mechanical and electrical systems
Coordinate with Production, Maintenance and outside contractors and ensure that work is completed in a safe manner that complies with all necessary manufacturing codes, regulations and standards (i.e H&S, GMPs, HACCP, WHMIS, MSDS, etc.)
Communicate daily maintenance activities with Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance team and update all daily logs
Improve and maintain existing PM systems
Ensure that required parts are ordered
Identify opportunities and make recommendations to continuous improve maintenance operations and efficiencies
Food Safety & Quality responsibility as outlined in SOPs and other training materials provided and accurate record keeping
Attend prescribed courses and training as required
Other projects as assigned by Plant Management
