Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers and shapers, to cut, shape and form parts and componentsPrepare specifications of custom-made cabinets that maximize storageShape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces, using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files.Study plans, specifications or drawings of articles to be madeTrim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit and reinforce jointsSand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plasticsApply varnish, veneer, stain or polish to finished productsMaintain clean and safe work environment
Support for newcomers and refugees
Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition
Support for Indigenous people
Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers
