Machinist - $26-$30 hr
On behalf of our client, a custom fabrication shop in the Durham Region, we’re recruiting a machinist.
Qualifications
- 1 year relevant machining experience
- Ability to independently read drawings and use lathes and milling machines in metal and aluminum production
- Experience grinding inserts for custom profiles
Responsibilities
- Read engineering drawings
- Operate lathes and milling machines to specifications
- Analyze and formulate strategies for how to repair components and assemblies
- Follow all workplace safety protocol
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances
Compensation and shift:
- $26.00-$30.00/h
- Overtime opportunities
- Steady day shift (Mon-Fri 9:00am-5:00pm)
