Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will play a key role in the development and integration of the electricpropulsion subsystems for a new regional airplane. This position requires a hands-onengineering specialist with strong technical depth, systems level understanding, and theability to work collaboratively across multiple disciplines to deliver optimized, safe andcertifiable propulsion solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation of technical requirements, interface control documents, and statements of work (SOWs) for integrated propulsion subsystems.
- Support design layout, analysis, and installation of related subsystems, ensuringalignment with operational, maintenance, safety, and performance requirements.
- Collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, controls, and systems engineeringspecialists to ensure seamless integration of propulsion components into theoverall aircraft architecture.
- Contribute to trade studies, design reviews, and optimization activities forsubsystem packaging, routing, and interface definition.
- Support system-level integration testing, verification, and validation efforts toconfirm compliance with design intent and certification requirements.
- Maintain strong alignment with program schedules, configuration managementpractices, and system safety objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relatedfield.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in integration design within aerospace or a relatedhigh-technology industry.
- Solid understanding of electric propulsion systems, including motors, inverters,power distribution, and thermal management.
- Demonstrated experience with system integration, interface definition, and cross-disciplinary coordination.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment focused onoverall program success.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a proactive andcollaborative approach.
Desired Attributes:
- Experience working in a start-up or rapid development environment.
- Prior exposure to electric propulsion development, hybrid-electric systems, oradvanced aerospace propulsion architectures.
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in managing multiple priorities andevolving design requirements.
