Based in Whitehorse, the Managerof Financeplays a key role in ensuring FNSBs financial systems areaccurate, transparent, and rooted in the values of accountability, reciprocity, and service. This position oversees day-to-day financial operations including payroll, accounts payable and receivable, reporting, budgeting, audit preparation, and financial systems development. Working closely with the Director of Finance and Operations, the Finance Manager supports both internal decision-making and external reporting, while leading a small but dedicated finance team.
The role also supports the identification and management of external funding opportunities and grant agreements, helping to strengthen learning programs and school operations across the Territory.

We are seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented financial leader with experience in non-profit or public sectorfinancial management.
What You Bring
- Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- A Canadian professional accounting designation (CPA)
- 35 years of progressive experience in financial management, ideally within a non-profit, public sector,and/or education setting
- Experience leading or improving financial processes, and supporting others in financial literacy and systems use
- Strong working knowledge of accounting software, financial reporting tools, and budgeting processes
- A collaborative approach grounded in relationship-building, respect, and service to schools and communities
- Ability to translate financial information into accessible, clear language for a range of audiences
- Commitment to values-driven financial stewardship that supports reconciliation and community-led education
An equivalent combination of education anddirectly relatedexperience will be considered.
