Responsibilities- Provide proactive and reactive security patrols across hospital grounds
- Respond quickly and professionally to incidents and coded emergencies
- Engage with patients, staff, and visitors using excellent customer service
- Stand and walk for long periods; maintain physical readiness
- Write accurate and detailed reports to support communication and incident tracking
- Investigate routine incidents and support hospital operational safety
- Uphold all site policies, Post Orders, and hospital safety protocols
Requirements
Must Have Criteria
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid First Aid & CPR Level C (WSIB-approved vendor)
- COVID-19: Two vaccine doses
- Immunization records for MMRV (Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella) and two-step TB test
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
- Minimum 6 months experience in security, law enforcement, or related field
- Comfortable maintaining a clean-shaven face (for N95 fit testing)
- Vulnerable Sector Check (completed upon hire)
- Able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and MOAB
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
Nice to Have (Optional)
- Previous healthcare security experience
- Diploma in Justice Studies or Police Foundations
