We are looking for an experienced Site Superintendent to lead the delivery of base building additions and new-build projects within the retail, commercial, and institutional sectors. Working closely with the Project Manager, you will direct, organize, and control all site activities to ensure project execution aligns with drawings, specifications, contracts, schedule, and budget. You will also provide on-site leadership to all subcontractors while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and coordination.

As a Superintendent, you’ll be responsible for:
- Ensure compliance with Prodigy’s Health & Safety Program and the OHSA regulations, enforcing all safety requirements on site.
- Lead day-to-day site operations, including schedule adherence, logistics, material handling, resource planning, and trade coordination.
- Run and document sub-trade meetings.
- Interpret and enforce all project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and subcontract agreements.
- Prepare and maintain the project schedule in collaboration with the Project Manager and project team.
- Uphold Prodigy’s quality standards through proactive QA/QC oversight.
- Partner with the Project Manager and consultants in a collaborative and solutions-driven manner.
- Represent Prodigy professionally with clients, consultants, trades, and other project stakeholders.
- Complete daily site reporting, RFIs, confirmations/notifications, and all required health and safety documentation.
About You:
The successful candidate will have the following:
- 5+ years of experience as a Site Superintendent in the construction industry; ICI base building and interior renovation experience is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of construction specifications, materials, means and methods, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication skills with all project stakeholders.
- Ability to problem-solve and resolve issues in a fair, timely, and professional manner.
- Adaptability, strong initiative, and the ability to work independently.
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, and other field technology.
- Demonstrated cost awareness and respect for schedule and budget parameters.
- Required certifications: Supervisor Competency Training (e.g., Basics of Supervision), Working at Heights, and First Aid.
- Proven experience enforcing safety policies for all site personnel.
- Ability to identify gaps in scope, constructability issues, and value-engineering opportunities through detailed document review.
- Strong documentation skills, including RFIs, daily logs, confirmations, and notifications.
