As a Proposal Manager, you will drive the success of client bids by combining creativity, analytical thinking, and expert bid management. You will lead the proposal process from strategy to submission, ensuring our responses are compelling, compliant, and competitive.
Key Responsibilities:
o Analyze RFPs and previous proposals to identify winning themes and strategies.
o Evaluate client requirements, competitor positioning, and scoring criteria to maximize proposal effectiveness.
o Project Planning; Develop and manage detailed bid schedules, ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met.
o Work with cross-functional teams—including sales, business development, finance, and subject matter experts—by assigning tasks, tracking progress, and facilitating regular status meetings.
o Compliance & Quality Control: Review all proposal components for compliance with RFP requirements and implement quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency
o Lessons Learned: Conduct post-bid reviews to capture lessons learned and continuously improve bid processes and outcomes.
o Support with writing original, persuasive content for proposals, using storytelling and visual elements to engage evaluators.
o Help develop graphics and data visualizations to enhance proposal impact.
o Design and update proposal templates and tools to streamline future bid efforts and maintain consistency.
What is needed:
• 2+ years of experience in professional writing and managing multiple, concurrent bids in fast-paced environments, including public and private sector RFP/RFI responses.
• Demonstrated ability to lead proposal kick-off meetings, develop compliance matrices, and oversee the end-to-end bid process.
• Strong creative, analytical, and organizational skills, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, winning proposals on time.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, InDesign, and proposal management software.
