We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our client’s dynamic team in New Glasgow, NS. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment at client locations, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering top-notch service in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Requirements:
- Must hold a valid Driver’s License and clean Driving Record
- Must pass Driver’s Abstract, Criminal, Credit and Background Checks annually.
- Must be flexible in working (days, evenings, weekends) as part of the rotating schedule required to service customers hours of operation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Installation, configuration, maintaining, upgrading, repairing computers and other electronic equipment including laptops, workstations, printers and peripherals. POS systems and ATM repair first and second line maintenance.
- Assist in site preparation, installation / de-installation or moving of equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose the repair computer and ATM equipment.
- Upgrade and modify computer hardware and perform software reloads and upgrades as required.
- Interface and communicate with customers and assist with answering their questions concerning ATM, or computer hardware and software issues.
- Must be flexible and willing to working an alternating shift schedule, as well as participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
Education/Experience:
- Must be knowledgeable of current information and computer and communications technology able to comprehend technical material and interpret data from various sources.
- Basic networking skills
- Mechanically inclined
- Electronic and computer hardware/software or equivalent background preferred
- Preference will be given to candidates with COMPTIA certifications (i.e. A+, N+ other certifications considered an asset)
