Job Description:
Technical Skills
- Strong experience with Mainframe operating systems and development using COBOL and JCL .
- Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and configuring Universal Life products using Ingenium 6.x or higher .
- Proven experience in customizing Ingenium across Mainframe, Windows, and AIX environments; exposure to Ingenium 7.x is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in REXX scripting .
- Solid working knowledge of DB2 and PL/SQL .
- Experience working in Agile or Kanban delivery models.
- Familiarity with GIT/Bitbucket , Docker , and related DevOps tools.
Process Skills
- Collaborate closely with legacy IT teams to design and deliver new sales and policy servicing functionalities on the Ingenium 7.7 platform across multiple product lines.
- Responsible for software development , unit testing , and supporting system and integration testing efforts.
- Leverage strong technical expertise to deliver customized solutions on the Ingenium platform , adhering to quality and performance standards.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada or India and demonstrate experience in Agile-based projects , cross-functional collaboration , and working with geographically distributed teams.
Additional Skills
- Ability to perform technical analysis on the legacy Ingenium 5.4 platform, including code conversion, code reviews, development, and testing activities.
- Support backlog grooming activities by partnering with Scrum Masters to refine user stories and provide accurate estimations.
- Contribute to technical architecture, analysis, and design efforts; work with architecture teams to align with enterprise coding standards and assist in peer code reviews.
Behavioral Skills
- Minimum 10 years of technical experience working with Ingenium 6.5 or above .
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders , Scrum Masters , partners , and customers .
- Excellent analytical and documentation skills to define technical specifications.
- Broad understanding of life insurance products across multiple lines of business; hands-on experience with the Ingenium Policy Administration System is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Certification & Education
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on technical experience with Ingenium 6.5 or higher .
- Educational qualifications include B.Tech, BE, BCA, MCA, M.Tech , or an equivalent technical degree from a reputable institution.
