Contaminated Sites Project Lead
Location: Hybrid (Remote and/or In-Office – Offices in Burnaby, Victoria, Kelowna, and Prince George).
Important: To be eligible for this position you must be based in British Columbia and possess at least one of the professional designations listed below and an In-depth understanding of the BC Environmental Management Act

Their primary focus is to align environmental solutions with their clients’ business goals—facilitating transactions and achieving regulatory compliance efficiently.
The Role
We are currently recruiting a Contaminated Sites Project Lead to manage and execute a range of environmental projects. This position offers full flexibility to work remotely, in-office, or a mix of both. You’ll never be on your own—support comes from a seasoned team of professionals across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage environmental projects such as:
- Phase I & II (or Stage 1 & 2) Environmental Site Assessments
- Detailed Site Investigations
- Remediation and sampling programs
- Supplemental investigations
- Develop scopes of work, budgets, and execution strategies for environmental assessments and management programs
- Conduct research, guide field programs, and prepare/review technical reports
- Mentor and support junior and intermediate members of the Site Investigation team
- Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and third-party stakeholders to move projects forward efficiently
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop creative and practical solutions aligned with client business goals
- Maintain organized and accessible project records using project management software
- Monitor project budgets and expenses to ensure cost-effective execution
- Promote and uphold health and safety standards across all project activities
What You Bring
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant environmental science or engineering field (e.g., Environmental Engineering, Geology, Chemistry, Biology, etc.)
- A professional designation (P.Eng., P.Geo., P.Chem., P.Ag., or R.P.Bio.), or eligibility to register within 6 months
- 5+ years of experience in Contaminated Sites investigation and remediation
- Including at least 2 years in a project management or coordination capacity
- In-depth understanding of the BC Environmental Management Act , Contaminated Sites Regulations, and related guidance/protocols
