Job Title: Senior Project Manager (Commercial & Institutional Construction)

Salary: $115,000 – $130,000 annually (based on experience)

Our client is a well-established regional General Contractor operating across Western Canada, specializing in healthcare facilities, schools, warehouses, CRU buildings, and pre-engineered steel structures. Their Winnipeg office is growing rapidly after securing multiple healthcare and warehouse projects across the city.
As the new Senior Project Manager, you will take ownership of a warehouse project and one of their new healthcare projects, and be fully supported by Project Coordinators, as well as dedicated teams in Health & Safety, Estimating, and Field Operations. This is an opportunity to lead impactful work while being backed by a strong, collaborative team.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage commercial and institutional construction projects from planning through completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Lead and motivate project teams, including contractors and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee contract administration, proposals, and negotiations.
- Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Prepare and distribute regular project status reports.
- Provide mentorship to the Project team.
What We’re Looking For:
- 8-15 years of experience in construction project management (commercial or institutional).
- Diploma or degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience.
- Strong leadership and team management skills. Proven experience coaching and mentoring a project team is desirable.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
- Familiarity with construction principles, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with Procore is considered an asset.
