Key Responsibilities of Project Engineer Manager
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers to deliver projects successfully.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and scope to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Develop and implement project management processes and industry best practices.
- Manage project Profit and Loss (P&L) and ensure financial objectives are met.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and present reports and updates to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Travel to project and customer sites within New Brunswick and New England as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience managing or contributing to major infrastructure projects; experience in rail projects is preferred.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Experience leading engineering teams in civil engineering or construction projects.
- Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
- Experience managing Profit and Loss (P&L) for projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Previous commercial experience is considered an asset.
