This on-site Computer Application Support (System/Network) role will support the Chief of Technology in the Joint Operations Fusion Lab.
Key Responsibilities:
- Server Support: Set up and configure servers within the JOFL environment and provide ongoing technical maintenance of technology and data equipment to support system integration and emerging AI capabilities.
- Networking: Deliver medium‑complexity networking support, including configuring LANs, WANs, and other network types to enable joint operational fusion techniques.
- Network Engineering Administration: Perform preventative maintenance, manage multicasting, and provide guidance on network security, operations, and AI‑related tasks.
- Network Charting: Create and maintain network diagrams and record technical data in support of the Chief of Technology.
What you must bring to this role:
- Must currently hold a valid federal government Secret-level security clearance issued by CISD
- Must have 1 year of experience within the last 3 years conducting server administration, network engineering, network management, and work involving Government of Canada security orders and network policies.
- The proposed resource must also demonstrate a minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 6 years, analyzing, developing, and implementing system modules, subsystems and programs within a "System of Systems" environment.
- Note: A system of systems is defined as a collection of task-oriented or dedicated systems that pool their resources and capabilities together to create a new, more complex system which offers more functionality and performance than simply the sum of the constituent systems. The client is looking for experience in Cross Domain Solutions such as Radiant Mercury.
- Must have experience with GCCS-J, Tactical Awareness Kit (TAK) and Ground Tactical Data Link Systems .
- Must have proof of education (Including a Certificate, Diploma or Degree in computer science or another relevant field)
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in IT
- Must be willing to work on-site in Ottawa (west) 5 days/week
