Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Technician to join our technical team. This position requires a strong foundation in Windows Server administration, networking infrastructure, and Microsoft 365 security, combined with excellent client communication skills. The successful candidate will provide advanced technical support while contributing to infrastructure projects and mentoring junior team members.
This is a client-facing role where approximately 60% of your time will be dedicated to resolving escalated support tickets and 40% to infrastructure projects. The ability to context-switch between urgent client needs and strategic initiatives is essential.
Core Responsibilities
Technical Support & Problem Resolution
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across Windows Server, networking, and Microsoft 365 environments
- Provide escalation support for challenging tickets that require advanced troubleshooting
- Respond to critical client incidents with appropriate urgency and professionalism
- Document resolutions and contribute to the company knowledge base
Infrastructure Management
- Design and implement networking solutions including site-to-site VPNs, VLANs, and routing configurations
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Azure AD Connect
- Administer Microsoft 365 security posture and Intune device management
- Lead infrastructure upgrade and optimization projects
- Perform capacity planning and system health monitoring
Client Relationship Management
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Build and maintain positive relationships with client contacts
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations aligned with client business objectives
- Participate in client meetings and project planning sessions
Team Collaboration
- Mentor Level 1 and Level 2 technicians through complex technical challenges
- Share knowledge and best practices with the technical team
- Collaborate on problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives
- Contribute to internal training and documentation efforts
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on IT experience in a support or infrastructure role
- Advanced proficiency with Windows Server administration (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy)
- Strong networking knowledge including VLANs, VPNs, routing, and network troubleshooting
- Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft 365 administration, security configuration, and Intune device management
- Experience with Azure AD Connect and hybrid identity management
- Solid understanding of backup solutions, disaster recovery, and business continuity principles

- Familiarity with Ubiquiti networking equipment
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox)
Work Environment
Location : In-office position in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Remote work will be considered for candidates with exceptional qualifications who can demonstrate strong remote collaboration capabilities.
Schedule : Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with participation in a rotating on-call schedule

Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range : $75,000 - $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications
