Senior Data Analyst (AWS & QuickSight) – Contractor

Key Responsibilities
- Translate business needs into structured requirements for QuickSight dashboards
- Identify source tables, fields, and relationships across Aurora, DynamoDB, and Athena
- Write, optimize, and validate SQL queries for data extraction and transformation
- Perform thorough data validation and QA across multiple data sources
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and AI platform teams to define KPIs and metrics
- Develop and maintain documentation, data dictionaries, and technical specifications
- Provide clear status updates and work effectively with minimal supervision
- Analyze data trends, patterns, and anomalies to support continuous improvement
- Support AWS self-service analytics users (access, troubleshooting, user management)
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on data analytics experience
- Expert-level SQL; strong experience with Aurora, DynamoDB, Athena
- Proven experience designing or supporting Amazon QuickSight dashboards
- Strong understanding of data validation, QA, troubleshooting
- Experience with complex data models (joins, foreign keys, parent-child structures)
- Ability to translate business goals into precise technical data requirements
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Experience in AI, Generative AI, Machine Learning, or digital analytics preferred
- Comfortable working across time zones and managing tight deadlines
