Vision Talent is working with a leading financial institution - they are largely remote with only 5 days/month required on site (1 day/week with 1 extra day). This is ideally a contract-to-hire position, the initial contract term is 6 months and they would prefer candidates who are willing to move to permanent employment after the initial contract term.
The ideal candidate will have strong and thorough knowledge of Android application development and be senior enough to lead/mentor junior developers.
Requirements:
* Hands-on experience in Android mobile application development.
* Key technology stack: Java, Kotlin, XML, JetPack Compose, Android Studio, Unit test.
* Experienced with build processes and demonstrated clear understanding of continuous integration, version control, automated testing and the complete mobile development life cycle, including publishing to the play store.
* Ability to mentor junior developers in the team.
* Technical expertise to maintain and improve the code quality.
* Understand various mobile design patterns.
* Capable of managing multiple projects with varying priorities.
* Strong troubleshooting skills. Experience in analysis of production issues is an asset.
* Optional: Banking domain knowledge.
