Position : Project Manager
Location : Toronto, ON – Hybrid
Job Description :
- 10+ years of experience in project/program management, with at least 3 years leading Project Management Office (PMO) functions in a Banking/Financial services context.
- Strong familiarity with banking regulations, data governance, and risk management.
- Experience managing vendor relationships and offshore delivery teams.
- Expertise in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, SAFe).
- Proficient with project tools (JIRA, MS Project, Clarity PPM, Power BI).
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing regulatory and cross-functional initiatives
- Ability to build and manage delivery roadmaps across diverse teams
- Strong grasp of dependencies across business and technology functions
- Clear, proactive communicator who can escalate risks promptly
- Comfortable adapting to evolving governance models and PMO structures
- Familiarity working across multiple SDLC methodologies
Roles and Responsibility:-
- Lead the setup and institutionalization of a Project Management Office (PMO) for enterprise-level transformation programs.
- Manage delivery of complex initiatives such as core banking system migrations, regulatory transitions, or post-merger integrations.
- Design governance frameworks, resource management, dashboard/reporting mechanisms, and performance metrics to ensure alignment with strategic business goals.
- Oversee project scoping, timeline development, risk/issue tracking, and stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal control standards throughout program execution.
- Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, translating project data into actionable business insights.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement through retrospectives, lessons learned, and best practices dissemination
