The Lead Data Manager will provide strategic oversight and leadership for data management services supporting a single client within a dedicated FSP partnership. This role is responsible for ensuring the end-to-end delivery of high-quality, timely, and budget-compliant data management outcomes across the client’s portfolio of clinical research projects. The individual will serve as the primary liaison with the client, offering vision and direction in project planning, execution, and close-out; financial oversight; communications; and achievement of milestone deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for the client on all data management deliverables.
- Provide oversight and governance of data management activities across multiple large global studies or programs of studies for the client.
- Lead direct negotiations with the client regarding timelines, financials, processes, and resource allocation.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with quality standards and client expectations.
- Oversee financial management of assigned client projects, including budget tracking and forecasting.
- Mentor, train, and develop junior team members, fostering expertise in data management practices.
- Drive consistency, efficiency, and continuous improvement in data management processes across the client’s portfolio.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant data management experience in clinical research.
- At least 5 years of experience as an independent lead managing data management deliverables.
- Proven experience managing multiple large global studies or programs of global studies.
- Demonstrated success in leading direct negotiations with customers regarding timelines, financials, processes, and resources.
- Strong track record of serving as the primary customer contact for data management deliverables.
- Experience in training, mentoring, and developing junior team members.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong collaboration with global teams.
