Position : Technical Writer
Location : Toronto, On – Hybrid
Experience requirements :
- Experience as a knowledge management specialist or technical writer in IT Operations and Technology domain for development of process/controls documentation
- Experience with industry standard documentation or knowledge management tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, Confluence), preferably within the financial services industry or with a financial institution
- Experience of JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, MS office suite or equivalent tools
Job description :
- Create high-quality, accurate, and concise documentation for products and services, including process flows, procedure documents, governance documents, process narratives, user manuals, guides, release notes, and online help systems, in accordance with existing standards
- Work closely with Infrastructure pillars to gather information, clarify technical concepts, and ensure documentation accuracy.
- Collaborate with IT in support of documentation to enable control design and controls testing, and more comprehensive retention of institutional knowledge.
- Review, edit, and revise documentation to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to style guides and brand standards.
- Develop diagrams, flowcharts, and other visual aids to support documentation and enhance user understanding.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure documentation is integrated into the development process and meets the needs of users.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies
- Continuously update knowledge and skills to stay current with industry developments, best practices, and new technologies.
